The Kites formed in the summer of 2019. Aged 16-17, their aspirations to take the stage gravitated them towards LIVEWIRE youth project in saltash, a charity organisation with state of the art resources, set to hone the art of music in young people without the guise of profit.
Bursting onto the Plymouth scene, the band received a very warm reception, scoring them a headliner just a few short months after their first appearance.
Inspired by their local success, the four hit the studio to record. Growing an audience through records and festival appearances across the UK, the group sharpened into a well-oiled machine of sound and feel through consistent gigging.
The Kites are at their best – a thrilling, raucous, and youthful re-interpretation of rock bliss.
