The Other Woman

The Other Woman are an all female, three piece dream pop band from Cornwall, UK, who’s influences include The Cranberries, The Sundays, Cocteau Twins and Big Thief. They met at Livewire, a music charity promoting mental health and supports growing young bands.
The Other Woman was initially created as a supporting band for Ev’s music, but later developed into being a collaborative group. Zane was a high grade bassist with experience within bands and quickly recognised Ev’s incredible songwriting and singing ability, and the pair musically clicked. Despite enjoying playing as a duo, the band decided they would benefit from a drummer, leading to bringing in drummer and college friend Mollie, who not only fit the band’s image but also whose drum skills and adaptability matched the band perfectly. On their first practice as a three piece, “Ghost Song” had only been written for a matter of days. Trying to think of a name for the song, Mollie announced the song should be called “willy nilly”, therefore the duo concluded that she would join them as a full time member.
Between carefully constructed drums, involved basslines, beautiful vocals & lyricism and ethereal yet raw guitar, The Other Woman are a breath of fresh air into modern music.
